We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Officer who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial procedures, and providing management with the information needed to make informed business decisions.
Role Summary
The Finance & Accounting Officer will oversee the financial management and accounting operations of Ceedmart.
The role is responsible for bookkeeping, financial reporting, cash management, reconciliations, budgeting support, inventory-related financial controls, and business performance analysis.
The successful candidate will help management understand the financial health of the business while ensuring that transactions are properly recorded and financial risks are minimized.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions.
Manage general ledger entries and accounting records.
Process and reconcile sales, expenses, purchases, and payments.
Maintain proper accounting documentation and records.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Cash Management
Monitor daily cash inflows and outflows.
Reconcile cash, POS, transfer, and bank transactions.
Track store sales deposits and collections.
Monitor working capital requirements.
Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of company funds.
Financial Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.
Produce profit and loss reports.
Prepare cash flow reports.
Track revenue performance across product categories.
Provide management reports and financial insights.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Support annual and quarterly budgeting activities.
Monitor actual performance against budgets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support forecasting and planning exercises.
Assist management with financial decision-making.
Inventory & Cost Control
Reconcile inventory records with financial records.
Monitor inventory valuation.
Analyze inventory-related costs and losses.
Track shrinkage and stock discrepancies.
Support inventory audits and investigations.
Business Performance Analysis
Analyze sales performance and profitability.
Evaluate margins across products and categories.
Identify trends affecting revenue and profitability.
Monitor customer and product performance metrics.
Provide recommendations for improving profitability.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with company financial policies.
Maintain proper audit trails.
Support tax filing and statutory obligations.
Implement internal controls to reduce financial risk.
Ensure financial records are accurate and complete.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3–5 years experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis.
Strong understanding of accounting principles.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience preparing financial reports.
Preferred
ICAN, ACCA, ATS, or equivalent professional certification.
Experience in retail, FMCG, distribution, e-commerce, or trading businesses.
Experience with accounting software.
Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost control.
